Privacy Policy

How Smart Order Flow Trading collects, uses, and protects personal information, and the rights you have over it.

Last updated: September 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how NET STUDIO LLC collects, uses, stores, and protects personal information in connection with the website smartflowfutures.net, published under the brand name “Smart Order Flow Trading” (the “Site”). It also explains the rights you have over your information and how to exercise them.

Smart Order Flow Trading is a free educational publication about futures trading, Smart Money Concepts, and order flow analysis. The Site does not sell products or subscriptions, does not provide trading signals, does not manage accounts, does not act as a broker, and does not provide personalized investment advice. We handle only the limited amount of personal information required to publish the Site and to operate the features described below.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The data controller (under the European General Data Protection Regulation) and the business responsible for personal information (under California law) is:

The editorial director and author responsible for the content published on the Site is Chriss Rakoot, who can be reached at the same email address.

2. What personal information we collect

We collect only the information described in this section. We do not buy personal information from third parties, and we do not build profiles about visitors.

2.1 Free user accounts

Registration on the Site is open and free. When you create an account, we collect the username, the email address, and the password you choose. The password is stored only as a cryptographic hash; we never see or store it in readable form. Your account may also record standard technical fields generated by the platform, such as the account creation date and the date of your last login.

2.2 ProTrader Journal entries

The Site offers a tool called the ProTrader Journal. When you are logged in, you can enter and store your own trading journal: instruments, dates, entry and exit levels, position sizes, results, and any notes or comments you decide to write. This content is created entirely by you, is attached to your account, and is visible to you when you are logged in. Technical administrators of the Site can access the underlying database when maintaining or repairing the service, but the entries are not published, not shared with other users, and not used to build advertising or marketing profiles.

Please do not enter information you consider highly sensitive, such as brokerage account numbers, credentials, or identity document numbers. The tool does not need them.

2.3 Contact form

When you write to us through the contact form, we collect the name and email address you provide, the subject, and the content of your message. We use this information only to read and answer your request.

2.4 Internal search

The Site has an internal search engine. Search terms are processed to return results. They are not linked to your identity for marketing purposes.

2.5 Server logs

Our hosting provider records standard server logs. These logs include IP addresses, the date and time of requests, the pages requested, the HTTP status returned, and the browser user agent. Server logs exist for security, abuse prevention, and technical troubleshooting. They are generated automatically and are not used to identify individual readers for commercial purposes.

2.6 Cookies

The Site sets only the cookies that are strictly necessary to operate it: WordPress session and authentication cookies for logged-in users, and the cookies WordPress uses to protect form submissions. No audience analytics tool, no advertising network, and no social media pixel is active on the Site as of the date of this policy. Because no non-essential cookie is set, no consent banner is displayed. Details are provided in our Cookie Policy.

4. We do not sell or share your personal information

We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not rent, trade, or otherwise transfer personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. There is no advertising network and no analytics vendor on the Site as of the date of this policy. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect, and consent will be requested where the law requires it.

5. Who can access your information

Access is limited to the people and companies that are strictly necessary to operate the Site:

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, for example in response to a valid legal request from a competent authority, or where disclosure is necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

6. Where your information is stored and international transfers

The Site data, including accounts and ProTrader Journal entries, is stored on servers located in France, within the European Union. NET STUDIO LLC is established in the United States, and its administrators access the Site from outside the European Union. This means that personal information stored in the European Union may be accessed from the United States for administration purposes. Where such access concerns data protected by the GDPR, we rely on the appropriate safeguards provided by Chapter V of the GDPR, in particular the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, and we limit that access to what is necessary to operate and secure the Site.

7. How long we keep your information

8. Your rights under the GDPR

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the following rights over your personal information:

To exercise any of these rights, write to contact@smartflowfutures.net. We answer within one month of receiving the request, and we may extend that period by two further months for complex requests, in which case we will tell you. We may ask you for information that lets us confirm that the request comes from the account holder.

9. Your rights as a California resident

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the following rights:

In California terms, the categories of personal information we collect are identifiers (username, email address, IP address), internet or network activity information (server logs, pages requested), and the content you voluntarily write yourself (contact messages and ProTrader Journal entries). We collect them directly from you or automatically from your device when you visit the Site, and we use them for the business purposes described in section 3. We have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months.

To exercise these rights, write to contact@smartflowfutures.net or call +1 307 316 0827. You may use an authorized agent, in which case we will ask for proof of authorization and may ask you to confirm the agent’s authority directly.

10. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. These include encrypted connections (HTTPS) across the whole Site, password hashing, restricted administrative access, and regular software updates. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for choosing a strong password, for keeping it confidential, and for logging out on shared devices.

11. Minors

The Site is intended for adults. Its content deals with futures trading, an activity that involves substantial financial risk and is restricted to adults in most jurisdictions. The Site is not directed to persons under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe that a person under 18 has created an account or sent us personal information, write to contact@smartflowfutures.net and we will delete the account and the associated information.

Articles on the Site may link to external websites, such as exchange documentation, regulatory publications, or reference material. Once you follow such a link, you are on a website we do not control and this Privacy Policy no longer applies. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any website you visit.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in how the Site operates or in applicable law. When we do, we change the “last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how we handle your personal information, we will make that clear on the Site, and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent before the change takes effect. We encourage you to review this page from time to time.
