Cookie Policy
The cookies this site actually sets, why they exist, and how to control them in your browser.
Last updated: September 9, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies are set on smartflowfutures.net (the “Site”), published by NET STUDIO LLC under the brand name “Smart Order Flow Trading”, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal information in general.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. When you return to the site, or move from one page to another, the browser sends that file back, which lets the site recognize the browser and remember information such as an open session or a preference you already expressed.
Cookies are usually described in two ways. By duration: a session cookie is deleted when you close the browser, while a persistent cookie stays on your device until it expires or you delete it. By origin: a first-party cookie is set by the website you are visiting, while a third-party cookie is set by another domain, typically an advertising or analytics company. The Site uses first-party cookies only.
2. Cookies used on this Site
The Site sets a deliberately small number of cookies, and all of them are strictly necessary: they exist to operate the Site and to keep registered users logged in. Because no optional cookie is set, no consent banner is displayed and no consent is requested.
Cookie names are given generically below, because WordPress appends a hash to several of them, which makes the exact name unique to each installation and to each user session.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
| wordpress_[hash] | Authenticates a logged-in user in the administration area and confirms the session is valid. Set only after you log in. | Session, or up to 14 days if you chose “Remember Me” | Strictly necessary |
| wordpress_logged_in_[hash] | Indicates that you are logged in and identifies your account to the Site so that your own ProTrader Journal is shown to you. | Session, or up to 14 days if you chose “Remember Me” | Strictly necessary |
| wordpress_sec_[hash] | Secures authenticated requests sent over HTTPS in the administration area. | Session, or up to 14 days if you chose “Remember Me” | Strictly necessary |
| wp-settings-[id] and wp-settings-time-[id] | Stores interface preferences of a logged-in user, such as the layout of the editing screens. | Up to 1 year | Strictly necessary |
| wordpress_test_cookie | Checks whether the browser accepts cookies before a login is attempted. | Session | Strictly necessary |
Strictly necessary cookies are set because they are required to deliver a service you explicitly asked for, namely logging in and staying logged in. They cannot be switched off without breaking the account features of the Site. If you never create an account and never log in, the authentication cookies above are simply not set on your device.
3. Cookies that are not used
As of the date of this policy, the Site does not use:
- audience measurement or web analytics cookies of any kind;
- advertising cookies, retargeting cookies, or cookies belonging to an advertising network;
- social media pixels or share-button tracking scripts;
- any third-party cookie used to follow you across other websites.
No personal information collected through cookies is sold or shared for advertising purposes. If we ever add a measurement or advertising tool, this page will be updated before the tool is activated, the table above will list the new cookies, and consent will be requested where the law requires it.
4. Consent
Under European and comparable rules, consent is required only for cookies that are not strictly necessary. The Site currently sets none, so there is nothing to consent to and nothing to withdraw. If we ever add a measurement or advertising tool, we will publish the change here first and ask for your consent before that tool is activated.
The strictly necessary cookies are not based on consent: they exist to make the login and the account features work. To remove them, log out of your account, or delete the cookies through your browser as described in the next section.
5. How to control cookies in your browser
Every modern browser lets you view the cookies stored on your device, delete them, block them for specific sites, or block them entirely. These settings are usually found under a heading such as “Privacy”, “Privacy and security”, or “Cookies and site data”. Consult the help pages of your browser for the exact procedure:
- Google Chrome: Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies and Site data.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings, then Cookies and site permissions.
- Apple Safari: Settings or Preferences, then Privacy.
Blocking or deleting cookies affects the Site in a limited but real way. Reading articles and using the internal search engine works without cookies. Logging in, staying logged in, and using the ProTrader Journal do not work if you block the strictly necessary cookies, because the Site can no longer recognize your session.
Browsers may also offer a “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control” signal. Since the Site does not run any tracking, analytics, or advertising technology, there is no tracking activity for such a signal to disable.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when the technical setup of the Site changes or when applicable law changes. The “last updated” date at the top of this page always indicates the current version. We encourage you to review this page from time to time.
